Speaking of contact and Batphones… I’m curious if one Adam M (not Adam Ant: although, like Adam Ant, Adam M is a talented musician) is alive as his Batphone would not cooperate AT ALL(!) last night as I tried to get him to join Fifeman and me for a wonderful, spiritual, phenomenal, memorable viewing of The Wrestler at the Kentucky Theatre. I recommend The Wrestler to all who have eyes and read this post!
Anywho, I will go without imbibing alcohol at the karaoke bar and I would be happy to, in the words of Ryan Adams, “come pick you up” (and Fifeman… and, yes, I know Ryan sings “Come pick me up”) so that you and others may enjoy your whiskey sours and unwind and observe karaoke journeyers (including Todd who sings a spot-on “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey) and hopefully I will sing something more enjoyable than KISS or Pearl Jam which are my boring usual… and, my house is always available for viewing of Klaus Kinski/ Werner Herzog films while others sober up… maybe I’ll sing “Keep On Rockin’ In The Free World” since it rings in my head everynight… perhaps I’ll sing something by the BOSS for Tumblr-Tearoom and Bonnaroo 2009… I’d love to sing some Bright Eyes, but I doubt that Todd’s has any Bright Eyes… I’ll maybe sing A Perfect Circle: “Weak And Powerless.”
